Job summary

You will attend pre-season meetings, manage rosters, track eligibility and collaborate with principals to execute the vision of CMSD athletics.

Qualifications

• Valid CPR certificate is required.
• Pupil-activity (coaching) permit from Ohio Department of Education.
• All athletic directors have been provided with proof of securing these certifications.
• Previous successful coaching experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport/activity and a willingness to seek out new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Attend CMSD Pre-season meetings.
• Understand and follow CMSD guidelines and rules.
• Attend and arrive promptly to practices and games.
• Track, communicate, and comply with student eligibility status.
• Submit roster, schedule, and transportation paperwork to department and principal.
• Distribute, collect, and care for uniforms and equipment.
• Participate in professional development by the Athletics Department.
• Upload scores and statistics to CMSD reporting site.
• Work with the principal to implement the program vision.
• Supervise students before and after practices and competitions.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators.
