Job summary

Vista Grande High School in Casa Grande, AZ, is seeking a Boys Assistant Basketball Coach. This is a part-time stipend position reporting to the Athletic Director and/or Assistant Principal.

The role requires an Arizona teaching certificate or coaching certificates, CPR/First Aid, and a commitment to mentoring students and ensuring safe, positive athletic experiences. Responsibilities include coordinating with staff, managing equipment, and supporting student-athletes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher.
• Arizona State Teachers certificate and/or AIA Coaching Certificates and CPR/First Aid certificates are required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general curriculum periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence with parents, community and other agencies.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for their department and communicates with staff, community, parents and players.
• Enforces AIA regulations and Board policies; manages equipment and facilities.
• Oversees daily operations of the athletic program and mentors students.
• Regularly attends coaching clinics and workshops.
