Chowan Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic department as a Middle School Track Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for running and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for student-athletes. This seasonal position involves coaching and mentoring middle school students, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a love for the sport of Track.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct daily practice sessions that focus on skill development, physical conditioning, and teamwork.
• Develop and implement training programs tailored to the varying skill levels of student-athletes.
• Organize and oversee Track meets, including transportation, logistics, and coordination with other schools.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, schedules, and expectations.
• Monitor student‑athletes’ academic performance and encourage a balance between athletics and academics.
• Assist in the selection and management of team uniforms and equipment.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of all participants during practices and competitions.
