Job summary

Equinox's Plano location is seeking Boxing Instructors to deliver the Equinox Experience in group classes. You will tailor intensity for participants, monitor effort, and ensure classes begin and end on time while maintaining regular teaching commitments.

Qualified candidates hold a current Boxing Instructor certification and CPR/AED certification, with prior teaching experience and knowledge of anatomy and safe modifications. Join a team focused on results and member engagement.

Qualifications

• Boxing Instructor certification is required.
• Experience teaching fitness classes is required.
• CPR/AED certification must be current.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy, kinesiology and safe exercise modifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to members in each class.
• Adjust class intensity to match participants.
• Monitor exercise intensity throughout the class duration.
• Ensure classes start and end on time.
• Teach classes regularly and minimize substitutions.
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager about member feedback, equipment, scheduling and substitutions.

Job Description

Equinox's locations in Plano are currently seeking Boxing Instructors. The position entails the following responsibilities. This is not a complete description, and certain responsibilities may additionally be presented along the course of employment:

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class;
• Adhere to the description of the class and modify the intensity for participants when necessary;
• Continuously monitor the exercise intensity throughout the duration of the class;
• Ensure class begins and ends on time;
• Teach respective classes on a regular basis and keep subbing to a minimum;
• Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing.

Qualifications

• Boxing Instructors must possess a current certification in their discipline;
• Have experience teaching;
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification;
• Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations;
• Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education;
• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing; and energetic;
