Job summary

Woodgrain in Leesburg, GA, is hiring a Warehouse Box Truck & Inventory Control Technician. The role moves door components and materials between manufacturing and warehouse locations, operating a company box truck and forklift while ensuring accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities include conducting physical and cycle counts, investigating variances, maintaining organized warehouse operations, and following all safety policies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years forklift operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• At least 18 months of experience operating a 28-foot box truck.
• Ability to complete required company certification to operate a box truck.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver a box truck as required by the position.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to accurately perform inventory transactions and maintain inventory records.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report inventory discrepancies.
• Ability to perform physical inventory counts and work with inventory data.
• Ability to safely lift, move, load, and unload materials as required by the position.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Experience with inventory management or warehouse management systems
• Experience performing cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, or variance analysis.
• Previous experience transporting materials between manufacturing and warehouse locations.
• Basic computer skills and experience entering data into an inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck to transport inventory between designated locations.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials following safety procedures.
• Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials.
• Complete accurate inventory transactions for all material movements.
• Maintain inventory records and ensure movements are reflected in the system.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and cycle counts as assigned.
• Identify, document, and investigate inventory variances.
• Track inventory discrepancies and provide variance information to management.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and other inventory control activities as needed.
• Maintain an organized and safe warehouse and material-handling environment.
• Follow all safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.
