Job summary

American Home Contractors in Columbia, MD is hiring a reliable Warehouse Associate to support day-to-day operations, including receiving, staging, inventory control, and dispatch, ensuring materials reach job sites on time.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, able to operate box trucks and forklifts, proficient with Excel and ERP systems, and capable of collaborating with project managers and field crews.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving a non-CDL box truck.
• Forklift experience; certification is a plus.
• Possess or obtain a valid DOT Medical Card.
• Experience using inventory management software, WMS, or ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with basic formulas (SUM, COUNT, IF).
• Strong attention to detail with experience in counts and reconciliations.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication with team members, vendors, and field crews.
• Physically able to lift 75+ pounds and perform warehouse labor.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Prior warehouse or logistics experience in construction or trade
• Familiarity with roofing, siding, window, gutter, solar materials
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
• Experience supporting multiple field crews or regional operations

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, staging, inventory control, and dispatch.
• Oversee loading and material preparation for roofing, siding, solar, gutter, window, and door projects.
• Drive a company box truck to job sites across MD, VA, DC, PA, WV, DE, and NJ.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and ERP system records.
• Coordinate with project managers, installers, and vendors to meet material needs.
• Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and compliant with regulations.
