Job summary

Meyer Logistics in West Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced Box Truck Driver (non-CDL) to join our growing, family-owned team. You will drive 26-28 ft box trucks to deliver to customers, load and unload as needed, and complete DOT paperwork.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience driving 26–28 ft box trucks or similar vehicles over 10,001 lbs.
• Valid truck driver license with appropriate state endorsements.
• Willing to undergo drug screening, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
• No recent moving or driving violations; must remain insurable.
• Ability to operate/load a forklift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries and meet schedules.
• Maneuver trucks for loading/unloading.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations; complete DOT paperwork.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues.
• Heavy lifting 75+ lbs.
