Planet Aid is seeking reliable box truck drivers for full-time positions with benefits, weekly pay, the opportunity for advancement, and consistent hours. Drivers will operate up to a 20-foot box truck collecting donated materials from Planet Aid's Collection bins.

Pay: $20 hour (Plus weekly bonus averaging $1 to $2 an hour)

Schedule: Weekdays only

Start time: Between 4am or 7 am

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other responsibilities may be assigned):

1. Demonstrate safe/efficient box truck driving skills.
2. Empty the donation bins, collect donations, and dispose of any trash in/around the bins on a daily route.
3. Load donated materials into the truck in a safe and efficient manner.
4. Provide good customer service and communicate with customers in a professional manner.
5. Lift and toss bags weighing up to 50 pounds and push items up to 300 lbs.

Requirements:

1. Commercial small-truck driving experience required.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
3. Valid driver's license.
4. Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card.
5. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, driving record check, and a DOT physical.
6. Knowledge of FMCSA Guidelines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma Preferred and 1+ years of relevant experience preferred; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret maps and GPS technology. Complete paperwork accurately and completely and understand the importance of detail. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and employees. Must be able to read, speak, write and understand Basic English.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

1. Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
2. Ability to be insured by our company insurance and be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, background checks, and a DOT physical.
3. Demonstrate safe driving skills.
4. Ability to adhere to and enforce all safety procedures.
5. Must be able to have a good driving record without major blemishes.
6. Must be capable of operating a large box truck in congested metropolitan areas.
7. Must be prepared to work in any traffic or weather conditions according to the pickup locations.
8. Must be able to follow directions and possess a "can do" attitude.
9. Ability to create and maintain cooperative team-building relationships.
10. Work as a team with Operations Manager to meet organization goals and expectations.
11. Must be able to work in coordination with his or her supervisor and colleagues.
