Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. is seeking a CDL driver to deliver lubricant bulk products locally in the Lorain, OH area. You will ensure safety and regulatory compliance, keep accurate logs, and coordinate with departments to meet customer needs.

Home daily with route responsibilities and occasional travel. Eligible candidates hold a valid CDL A/B with tanker endorsement, a clean driving record, and are prepared for DOT drug testing and medical qualification requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess CDL Class A or B for driving the vehicle.
• Must possess and maintain a valid tanker endorsement as required for the position.
• Driving record meets company and insurance standards.
• DOT drug test required pre-employment.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA medical qualification requirements.
• Random drug/alcohol testing may apply.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service while interacting with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lubricants to customer sites with compliance to regulations and policies.
• Maintain correct delivery and truck logs; perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate customer needs to relevant departments for follow-up.
• Occasional out-of-town travel and completing route tasks as assigned.
• Handle related duties in warehouse and driving roles as needed.

Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Making deliveries of Lubricant bulk products to customer sites in compliance with state and federal regulations and all company operational and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintaining truck and delivery logs in compliance with state and federal regulations; conduct required pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Communicating customer needs and inquiries to appropriate departments for follow up.
• Preforming duties until route is complete with occasional out of town travel.
• Performing other related duties, tasks and responsibilities in warehouse and driving as required, assigned or requested.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Quarterly safety bonuses (eligible after 120 days of employment).
• Monthly performance bonus based on gallons delivered (eligible after 120 days of employment).

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required for the position.
• Must possess and maintain a valid tanker endorsement as required for the position.
• Must have a driving record that meets the Company's driver qualification standards and applicable insurance eligibility requirements.
• Must successfully complete a Department of Transportation (DOT)-required pre-employment drug test in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
• Must meet and maintain all applicable DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) medical qualification requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Will be subject to DOT/FMCSA-required random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
• Must demonstrate the ability to provide professional, courteous, and effective customer service while interacting with customers, coworkers, and the public.
