Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. is seeking a CDL driver based in Columbus, OH to securely deliver petroleum products to company sites and customers. You will load/unload, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations while coordinating with dispatchers.

The role requires hazmat/tanker endorsements, a clean MVR, and the ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen; overtime is available and safety bonuses are offered after qualifying periods.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A or Class B CDL with clean MVR.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements REQUIRED.
• TWIC card REQUIRED.
• Prior fuel truck driver experience PREFERRED.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screen.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products following regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to policies and laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and conducts safety inspections.
• Checks oil, water, fuel, tires and tank items daily.

Description

This position is responsible for the proper and efficient completion of assigned duties and operation of their vehicle. Drivers are responsible for delivering petroleum products to company owned sites and customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks with petroleum products adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
• Safely operates trucks according to Company policies and state/federal laws.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.
• Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items on a daily basis.
• Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers on a daily basis.

Requirements

• This position is based out of Columbus, OH. Candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance (approximately 30 - 50 miles) or be willing to relocate prior to start).
