Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. in Akron, OH is seeking an experienced CDL driver for local routes, delivering lubricant bulk products and maintaining logs in accordance with DOT/FMCSA regulations. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, communicate customer needs, and may travel out of town occasionally.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Must possess and maintain a valid tanker endorsement as required for the position.
• Must have a driving record that meets the company's driver qualification standards and insurance requirements.
• Must pass a DOT-required pre-employment drug test per federal regulations.
• Must meet FMCSA medical qualification requirements to perform essential functions.
• Must undergo DOT/FMCSA random drug and alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Making deliveries of lubricant bulk products to customer sites while complying with regulations and safety policies.
• Maintaining truck and delivery logs in compliance with regulations; perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Communicating customer needs to appropriate departments for follow-up.
• Occasionally traveling out of town to fulfill routes and complete duties.

Primary Responsibilities

• Making deliveries of Lubricant bulk products to customer sites in compliance with state and federal regulations and all company operational and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintaining truck and delivery logs in compliance with state and federal regulations; conduct required pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Communicating customer needs and inquiries to appropriate departments for follow up.
• Preforming duties until route is complete with occasional out of town travel.
• Performing other related duties, tasks and responsibilities in warehouse and driving as required, assigned or requested.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Quarterly safety bonuses (eligible after 120 days of employment).
• Monthly performance bonus based on gallons delivered (eligible after 120 days of employment).

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required for the position.
