Job summary

Parts Town is seeking a Fulfillment Center transfer driver (car pool captain) to join our fast-growing distribution team. You will load/unload trucks, transfer items between locations, and ensure accuracy and safety in every transfer.

You’ll work Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm with Saturdays when needed; a valid Class A/B/C license is required; you’ll need strong communication in English and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. We offer competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• You must hold a valid driver’s license (Class A, B or C).
• You are a reliable team player with strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• You can move around for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• You can multi-task in a fast-paced distribution center environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Load/unload PT box truck to transfer items or materials between locations.
• Assist material handling team when not transporting between buildings.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness at all times.
• Ensure contents are secured inside the truck to prevent breakage or damage.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues.
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

The Job at a Glance

Our Fulfillment Center transfer driver, internally known as car pool captain, play an imperative role on our distribution center team. As part of our inbound material handling team, the distribution center transfer driver plays a key role in efficiently loading, unloading, and transferring materials between multiple distribution center locations. Our fulfillment center transfer driver exercises a great deal of attention to detail and accuracy in preparing transfers to ensure they arrive at the destination in good condition. FC transfer driver efforts are a direct reflection of our dedication to exceptional customer service and surpassing expectations.

A Typical Day

• Load/unload PT box truck to transfer items or materials between locations
• Assist material handling team when not transporting between buildings
• Continuously maintain organization and cleanliness
• Ensure contents are properly secured inside the truck to prevent breakage or damage
• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

To Land This Opportunity

• You have a valid and active Class A, B or C driver's license
• You are a reliable team player with strong problem-solving skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
• You possess the ability to move around for long periods of time and consistently lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• You can multi-task in a fast-paced distribution center environment
• You have fantastic communication skills & you're proficient in English (verbal and written).
• You are looking to work Monday through Friday 7:30am — 4:00pm and Saturdays when needed
• Experience using hand trucks and electric lifts is a bonus!

About Your Future Team

The salary range for this role is $43,178.23 — 52,773.39 annually ($20.75 — 25.37 hourly) which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
