Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers safely and on time, using our company vehicle. You will deliver building materials and provide friendly, professional service, helping customers with their needs at the job site or yard.

When deliveries slow, you may assist in the Yard to meet weekly hours goals and support the team. This full-time role offers growth from within and a values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience with building materials or large items preferred.
• Valid driver's license current in the state; driving record acceptable.
• Familiarity with delivery equipment is preferred.
• Team player and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport orders to customers in a timely manner using company vehicle.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service during delivery.
• Assist in the yard during slow delivery periods to meet weekly hours goals.

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Team player
