Carter Lumber Company in North Carolina is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers in a safe, timely manner using company vehicles. You will help meet daily delivery schedules while providing friendly, professional service.

If deliveries slow, you may assist in the Yard to reach weekly hours. A valid driver’s license and a customer-service oriented attitude are required; prior delivery experience is preferred. We value reliability and growth from within.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience preferred with building materials or large items
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Customer-service-driven personality and ability to work in a team
• Willingness to assist in yard tasks when deliveries are slow

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record(some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
