Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a driver to safely operate a vehicle for pickup, transport, and delivery of donated goods. Starting pay is $18.87 per hour.

The role requires at least six months of intercity driving experience with a 26-foot bobtail or equivalent, a valid license, clean MVR, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. You will help unload, protect goods, and provide courteous service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months intercity driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; valid license and clean MVR.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a vehicle to collect, transport and/or deliver donations, processed merchandise and other materials.
• Safeguards donated goods to prevent damage during shipment.
• Assists with unloading of merchandise, minimizing damage to donated materials.
• Acts courteously, handles customer concerns, and resolves/escalates when necessary.
• Follows all policies, procedures and local, state and federal laws.

Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Safely operates a vehicle to collect, transport and/or deliver donations, processed merchandise and other materials, as directed.Safeguards donated goods to prevent damage during shipment.Assists with unloading of merchandise, minimizing damage to donated materials.Acts courteously, handles customer concerns, and resolves and/or escalates when necessary.Follows all established policies, procedures and local, county, state and federal laws.Performs daily vehicle maintenance checks.Ensures daily work requirements are met, maintaining quality and quantity performance.May be required to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used.
