Job summary

Box Clever in San Francisco is seeking an Industrial Design Intern for a 3–6 month in-person internship starting November 2026. You will actively contribute to client projects, co-design products that launch, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic studio focused on design excellence.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or in progress, with strong CAD (Solidworks, Rhino) and digital visualization (Keyshot, Vizcom, Flora) skills.

Qualifications

• Must have or be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design.
• Strong CAD skills to bring quick ideas from sketch to CAD and take input from design leads.
• Able to prepare design for DFM and incorporate feedback from partners (Solidworks, Rhino).
• Strong Digital Viz skills to emotionally engage clients (Keyshot, Vizcom, Flora).
• A passion for design and eagerness to learn.
• Excellence in communicating design both visually and verbally.
• Ability to retouch photography and renderings (Adobe Photoshop).
• Ability to create presentations to support the design process (Google Slides).
• Collaborative and Inclusive.

We are seeking an Industrial Design Intern in our SF studio, for a 3-6 month period (dependent on availability), who is passionate about creating exceptional products that people love. You'll play an active role in client projects, getting real-world hands-on experience, contributing to co-designing products that launch.
