Job summary

USCG Base Cape Cod MWR in New London, CT is seeking a Recreation Aid (Bowling Alley) INT – 6911 to support the bowling facility and related activities.

You will assist patrons, supervise activities, issue equipment, and help maintain safety and order in the bowling alley. The role requires basic lifting, math skills, and clear communication; compensation is $18.00 per hour with an intermittent schedule.

Qualifications

• 1) Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• 2) Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• 3) Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs.
• 4) Experience performing similar duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recreational activities and services for patrons.
• Provide information on facilities and operation to users.
• Issue tools, equipment and games; check IDs and collect fees when needed.
• Direct scheduling of courts, lanes and equipment; assist patrons as required.
• Check inventories; decorate rooms; maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and monitor premises security.
• May perform clerical, custodial and maintenance duties; operate a cash register.
