Job summary

Main Event in Memphis is seeking friendly team players to join our guest-focused team. You will welcome guests, explain activities, assist them with lane setups, handle shoe rental, and help maintain safety and cleanliness throughout the center.

This role offers a fun, fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn multiple systems, work days, nights, and weekends, and enjoy benefits such as staff discounts and potential tuition assistance.

Responsibilities

• Upholding cleanliness and safety standards across the center.
• Welcome guests and act as a FUN ambassador while guiding activities.
• Promote activities based on guest needs and availability.
• Troubleshoot lane malfunctions and assist guests with lane setup.
• Issue and clean bowling shoes; maintain shoe organization.
• Escort guests to lanes and assist with ball selection.
• Ensure guests follow bowling safety standards.
• Process payments and greet guests returning to the center.
• Maintain an organized bowl desk and lanes, and perform side duties.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Welcome and engage with all guests while being a FUN ambassador!
• Promoting and recommending activities based on a Guest’s needs and activity availability
• Troubleshooting and handling lane malfunction calls
• Issuing and cleaning bowling shoes; maintaining shoe organization
• Escorting Guests to their lane and assisting them with their lane setup and ball selection
• Ensuring Guests adhere to all bowling safety standards (gotta play safe!)
• Processing payment transactions and welcoming our Guests back
• Maintaining a clean and organized Bowl Desk and lanes; completing side duties

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Prior food and beverage or retail experience a plus but not required
• Guest-focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to learn and utilize multiple systems that support the business
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to workdays, nights, and/or weekends
