Job summary

Scheels Overland Park is seeking a Bow Technician to provide expert fitting, repair, and maintenance of bows and archery gear. The role blends technical know‑how with strong customer focus, representing Scheels as friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous to shoppers and fellow associates.

You will set up bows with accessories, tune and repair them, string bows, and explain the repair process and maintenance tips. A high school diploma or GED, or 3 months of related experience, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3 months related experience, or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Carefully follow customer instructions and safety requirements.
• Set up bows with accessories.
• Tune bows.
• Repair bows.
• String bows.
• Explain the repair process and maintenance tips.
• Keep workspace, archery bench and back stock area tidy.
• Attend training meetings when required.
• Answer questions on location, price and use of merchandise.
• Stock shelves and merchandise tables.
• Contact vendors for parts and orders.
• Assist with customer trade-ins.
