Job summary

PEAK in Shawano, Wisconsin is offering a 12-week Production Livestock Internship focused on bovine semen production and research opportunities within our facilities. Interns will learn to collect and process high-quality semen from elite bulls, while also gaining exposure to lab processes and potential careers within PEAK and URUS.

Ideal candidates are pursuing agriculture, biology, genetics or data science, are currently in a 2- or 4-year program, and show passion for agriculture and innovation

Qualifications

• Students pursuing education within agriculture, biology, genetics or data science.
• Applicants currently attend a 2-year technical college or 4-year university.
• Passionate about agriculture and innovation; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Interns will delve deeply into the bovine semen production process.
• Work with elite bulls to collect and process semen for high quality products.
• Learn laboratory processes to create semen products for beef and dairy operations.
• Perform individual research projects and explore other PEAK/URUS career opportunities.
