Job summary

Select Sires, Inc. in Plain City, Ohio invites undergraduates in animal/dairy science to join as a Semen Processing Intern. This temporary, hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Manager of Semen Processing and Quality Control, with Monday–Friday shifts 5:30 AM–2:00 PM and duties spanning lab work, semen handling, and QA tasks.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student studying animal/dairy science or related field.
• Prefer juniors or seniors; graduates continuing education considered.
• Lab experience and accuracy in sample handling desirable.

Responsibilities

• Initial semen evaluation and processing; sterilization of glassware and lab equipment.
• Transportation of semen.
• Perform semen quality control evaluations, extender preparation, lab maintenance, and administrative tasks.
• Assist with research projects, including sample preparation and analysis.
• Development and execution of an independent research project is possible but not required.
