Job summary

605 Sires is seeking an Embryologist to perform bovine IVF and embryo production, upholding strict lab protocols, aseptic techniques, and precise record-keeping. You will collaborate with veterinarians and lab staff to meet production goals and ensure quality control.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Animal Science/Biology/Biotechnology/Veterinary Technology and experience in bovine IVF or embryology, with readiness for flexible hours including weekends for peak cycles.

Qualifications

Degree in Animal Science, Biology, Biotechnology, Veterinary Technology, or related field.
Experience in bovine IVF, animal embryology, or reproductive biotechnology.
Experience with embryo grading and cryopreservation techniques.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and overnight travel based on production schedules.

Responsibilities

Perform routine IVF laboratory procedures.
Maintain strict aseptic technique and laboratory cleanliness standards.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) precisely and consistently.
Accurately record laboratory data, results, and inventory in electronic and paper record systems.
Assist with laboratory equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Assist in training and mentoring laboratory assistants and junior embryologists as assigned.
Support inventory management and laboratory supply organization.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient laboratory operations and successful client outcomes.
