Job summary

BODYBAR Pilates in Overland Park seeks a friendly instructor to lead Pilates-based group classes using the BODYBAR method. You will help clients achieve a safe, effective workout while upholding the studio’s CHEERful culture.

The role emphasizes guiding participants through proper form, adapting to all fitness levels, and building a welcoming community. Training through BODYBAR is provided, and a flexible schedule is available.

Qualifications

• Passion for health, fitness and exercise.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy.
• Completion of the Comprehensive BODYBAR Pilates Instructor Training Program, including apparatus test-out.
• Prior Pilates/fitness experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and instruct Pilates-based group fitness classes according to the BODYBAR teaching formula.
• Educate participants on proper and safe exercise form.
• Respond to client questions regarding movement considerations, policies, and promotions.
• Secure substitutes for all assigned classes and manage unsubbed class duties.
• Create a community at the studio through member engagement before, during, and after class.
