Highgate Hotels in Greenville, SC is seeking a Bartender to craft beverages, set up and maintain the bar, and deliver outstanding guest service. You will prepare cocktails to hotel standards, ensure prompt service, and keep the bar area clean and compliant with liquor laws.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel experience preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Effective verbal and written communication with guests and staff.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Maintain appearance and grooming per hotel standards.
• Comply with liquor laws and hotel policies.
• Attend required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up bar according to hotel standards and serve guests promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the hotel’s mixing and presentation standards.
• Serve guests with beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
• Break down bar after functions and store liquor, supplies and equipment.
• Follow state liquor laws and hotel safety rules.
• Know hotel services and facilities; respond to guest problems and complaints.
• Keep bar and service areas clean and tidy during service.
• Maintain guest satisfaction and be familiar with all fire exit locations.
• Attend hotel required meetings and trainings.
