Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Proficiency with calculator for math tasks.
• Ability to handle internal/external guests with tact and diplomacy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm in emergencies and busy times.
• Proficient in inputting information into computer systems.
• Ability to stand and move throughout front office.
• Ability to observe emergency signs and respond appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly welcome and provide information on hours and local attractions.
• Complete registration using computer system; assign rooms and handle key coding.
• Process payments and credits; manage vouchers and currency exchange; post charges to rooms.
• Answer phones promptly; relay messages and retrieve mail/packages as requested.
• Close guest accounts at checkout and address dissatisfaction when needed.
• Address guest complaints with thorough research and effective solutions.
• Stay calm during emergencies and heavy hotel activity; plan steps with judgment.
• Support lobby and coffee bars during peak times and staff shortages; assist with service.
