Job summary

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is seeking bartenders for full-time, part-time, and weekend brunch shifts. You will greet guests, craft beverages, and support food service while maintaining a welcoming, high-energy bar environment.

The role requires knowledge of wine and spirits, strong communication, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Certification in food handling and alcohol service is a plus, with opportunities to grow within Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

• 3 years of bartending experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of wine and spirits.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of credit card and cash handling procedures, as well as recording accurate tip-out sheets and calculating accurate bill amounts.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Serving Certifications (if applicable).
• Flexible schedule and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and promptly serve food and beverages.
• Pour drinks, using standard pours, and process orders in the POS system with accuracy.
• Serve food and drinks to guests and support servers.
• Notify a manager if a guest is intoxicated or rude to other guests.
• Unpack deliveries and stock the bar.
• Clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders, and soda guns.
• Follow uniform and grooming specifications.
• Maintain cooperative communication with support crew and management.
• We all wear multiple hats and may take on duties outside of this posting.
