Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks a Boundary Systems Engineer to support the AFCENT NOSC contract at Shaw Air Force Base.

The role focuses on operating and protecting a 24/7 enterprise network, including firewall management, DNS services, and security engineering to support USCENTCOM missions. The ideal candidate has a BS in a related field with 5+ years IT experience or 7+ years, firewall/Linux experience, Windows Server know-how, and active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• BS in a related field and 5+ years IT experience or 7+ years IT experience.
• Firewall and Unix/Linux experience.
• Experience with Windows Server deployment and imaging.
• Experience with storage solutions, DNS, DHCP, and remote access.
• Ability to enforce local network usage policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the enterprise boundary management server.
• Analyze firewall reports/logs and identify anomalies; implement solutions.
• Configure and maintain DNS and BIND for enterprise networks.
• Provide on-the-job training to local help desk personnel.
• Assist with planning, upgrading, and deployment of data center hardware/software.
