Job summary

Sumaria Systems LLC is seeking a Firewall/Network Security Administrator to support Air Force boundary protection and enterprise security. The role requires strong networking and cybersecurity experience, with a focus on monitoring, incident response, and secure boundary infrastructure.

Responsibilities include configuring security devices, analyzing alerts, and coordinating with stakeholders to maintain mission-critical services. Valid clearance and Security+ (DoD 8140) are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in network security, network administration, cybersecurity, enterprise networking, or related technical discipline.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Current Security+ or DoD 8140 certification required.
• Experience configuring, operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting firewalls, routers, switches, IDS/IPS, or related technologies.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and enterprise network architecture.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements and DISA STIGs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, three-shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network security and boundary protection technologies.
• Analyze security alerts and network events to determine potential impact and coordinate response actions.
• Configure and maintain network security devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, IDS/IPS.
• Review firewall rules, ACLs, and security policies for secure operations.
• Support investigation, documentation, escalation, and resolution of network security incidents.
• Provide timely technical support in a mission-focused environment.
