Job summary

Colorado Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE) in Boulder, CO, is seeking a Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist to join a collaborative specialty team and advance patient care through multidisciplinary expertise.

The role offers a base salary of $200,000–$225,000 with relocation assistance, full-time schedule, and opportunities for research and network-wide collaboration within Ethos Veterinary Health.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with Colorado licensure eligibility.
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine (DACVIM) or residency training.
• Strong communication skills with a client-centered approach.

• Passion for continuous learning and advancing specialty medicine.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex internal medicine cases across GI, endocrine, infectious, hepatic, hematologic, urinary, and respiratory systems.
• Perform and oversee advanced diagnostic procedures using ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, MRI and other resources.
• Coordinate with Emergency & Critical Care teams as a primary diagnostic resource.
• Collaborate with Oncology, Surgery, Imaging and other services to develop comprehensive plans.
• Mentor technicians and promote learning and clinical excellence.
• Contribute to growth of Internal Medicine services at CASE.
• Work with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide compassionate care.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.
• Support a team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration and learning.
