Job summary

Old World Industries, LLC. is seeking a Line Operator to manage daily production on the assigned manufacturing line, ensuring safe operation, correct filling and proper packaging of bottles, caps, and boxes.

You will maintain documentation, coordinate with blending and lab teams, perform changeovers, and keep the line running at optimal speed, training new hires as needed. A forklift certificate is required and a strong safety record is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 1–3 years relevant experience.
• Must be forklift certified.
• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers.
• Understand written and verbal work instructions.
• Have mechanical aptitude to operate machines and perform minor repairs.
• Good judgment and decision making; able to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to work in both union and non-union environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures (EHS).
• Verify bottles/boxes match the product being run.
• Acquire run sheets and document production on the line.
• Ensure correct boxes and bottles are available for production.
• Determine required caps, product and codes.
• Set filler to production mode and ensure weights meet specs.
• Communicate with blending on piping and flow.
• Take samples to the lab to confirm product accuracy.
• Code products during filling and operate conveyors and equipment.
• Maintain line cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Keep caps stocked and correct per run; watch for build up or misfeeds.
• Record production data and operate forklift as needed.
• Report mechanical/electrical issues to Supervisor/maintenance.
• Assist/coaching new hires on line loading speeds.
• Wear PPE and follow safety rules.
