What you will be doing:

  • Leading a high-end bar team focused on guest experience
  • Representing the hotel and bar program at events
  • Collaborating with the Creative Beverage Director to develop the bar program
  • Creating cocktail specifications and prep methods
  • Providing professional, friendly guest service and supporting colleagues
  • Preparing and serving cocktails and mocktails
  • Conducting performance assessments and training
  • Driving innovation and change within your scope
  • Building stakeholder relationships
  • Advising guests on beverage selections
  • Managing beverage stock, purchasing, and analysis
  • Maintaining knowledge of menus, garnishes, and preparation methods
  • Adhering to safety and sanitation policies

Oversee site/outlet and equipment maintenance

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Experience in cocktail menu development and training
  • Strong spirits knowledge; spirits education courses preferred
  • Good wine knowledge; WSET Level 2+ preferred
  • BC Serving It Right Certificate required
  • High-volume luxury bartending experience; hotel experience (4-5 Diamond AAA/CAA or Forbes 5 Star) an asset
  • Hospitality or Tourism Degree/Diploma an asset
  • Excellent beverage product knowledge
  • Point of Sale system experience an asset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Customer-focused, calm, courteous under pressure
  • Responsible, reliable, and team-oriented
