Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking an experienced Tax Partner to lead its Tax Practice in Boston. You will direct tax planning, consulting, and compliance services for middle-market clients, leveraging a strong local network to drive business development and growth.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and client stewardship in a growing firm. You will coach and develop managers and staff, model exceptional service, and collaborate with partners to expand the practice while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Must have an active CPA license.
• Experience with complex federal taxation across corporate, partnership, and individual structures.
• Experience with the Technology sector is preferred.
• Exceptional client service skills leading to the highest quality of execution and delivery of client engagements.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills for coaching a client service team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaborating with other partners and for providing guidance to clients as their “trusted advisor.”
• Excellent problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

This individual will lead a team to deliver tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to middle-market businesses. A strong existing network in Boston is preferred.

You’ll use your client service team leadership skills, acting as a role model, to provide coaching, mentoring, and training in the development of managers and staff.

To continue our success, we’re looking for a partner who will contribute to expanding the practice by using their strong professional network of business contacts and referral sources and by engaging in business development opportunities with other firm leaders.
