Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support student-athletes within the Boston Public School District. You will provide comprehensive athletic training services, injury rehabilitation, and return-to-play assessments at assigned sites.

The role emphasizes collaboration with program heads and adherence to state athletic training practices. The position requires a Bachelor's in Athletic Training, state license, and BO C certification, with 0-1 year experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training is required.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Massachusetts Athletic Trainer license and BO C certification/State license required.
  • 0-1 year athletic trainer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Cares for athletic injuries and oversees injury rehabilitation.
  • Designs and implements injury rehabilitation programs for student-athletes.
  • Performs assessments and creates action plans to ensure safe return to sport participation.
  • Provides athletic training coverage for home/hosted contests per CCCAA bylaws.
  • Administers emergency care and first aid.
  • Creates and updates injury reports regularly.
  • Ensures proper equipment use and fit (helmets, pads, braces, mouthpieces).
  • Maintains documents, supplies and clinic environment for efficient operations.

This role would be supporting various schools within the Boston Public School District.Essential Functions-Cares for athletic injuries.-Design and implement injury rehabilitation programs-Formulates assessments and executes plans of action that best aid/fit student–athletes’ health needs and determines student athletes safe return to sport participation.-Provide athletic training coverage for all home/hosted contests as described by the CCCAA bylaws.-Administer Emergency Care and First Aid-Creates and regularly updates an injury report.-Ensures proper equipment use and fitting such as helmets, shoulder pads, braces, mouthpieces.
