Job summary

Smart Gauge Staffing LLC seeks an experienced Power BI Developer to join on-site in Boston, MA. The candidate will develop reports, dashboards, and semantic models across the Power BI ecosystem, including DAX logic and Service deployment.

The role is a 6–12 month W-2 contract with potential conversion to full-time. Strong SQL skills and Snowflake experience are required, with collaboration across business stakeholders and data engineers.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of BI, analytics, or data development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI development.
• Experience with Power BI Report Builder.
• Strong understanding of Power BI semantic models and data modeling.
• Experience delivering dashboards/reports via Power BI Service.
• Experience with Power Automate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop paginated and operational reports using Power BI Report Builder.
• Build and maintain scalable Power BI semantic models and DAX logic.
• Publish, configure, and manage reports and datasets in Power BI Service.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations translating business requirements into insights.
• Build and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Work with Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse and integrate data into Power BI.
