Job summary

Odeko is seeking a delivery driver in the Boston area. You will deliver customer orders across the metro area, using handheld devices and RF scanners to build orders, while following safety and lifting protocols. The role pays $22.50 per hour with weekly pay, and requires a valid driver’s license for at least four years and the ability to read, write and speak English.

The shift runs Monday through Friday, starting early morning, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced environment at Odeko.

Qualifications

• Must have experience driving in the Boston area and hold a driver’s license for at least 4 years with no major violations in the past 7 years.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand/speak English.
• Delivery duties include handling customer orders with handheld and RF devices.

Responsibilities

• Drive across the Boston area delivering customer orders while following safety protocols.
• Enter/exit the vehicle to pull orders and stack on the dolly, avoiding damage.
• Determine merchandise placement using safe lifting protocols.
• Use a hand truck to move cases across stairs, ramps, and sidewalks.
• Identify order issues and resolve them in real-time.
• Utilize a handheld device for routing and customer information.
• Using an RF scanner, identify and pull items to fulfill orders.
• Move boxes weighing up to 60 pounds throughout the fulfillment center.
• Assist with loading/unloading merchandise into delivery vehicles.
• Perform all tasks as assigned.
