Housekeeping Quality Assurance Inspector (Guest Room Inspections)
Full‑time position at The Burks Companies, Inc. (TBC) in a brand new, fully renovated luxury hotel/casino. Starting pay: $13.00–$14.00 per hour, depending on experience. A Day in the Life of a Guest Room Quality Control Inspector
- You inspect every detail of guest rooms, corridors, elevators, and fitness center to confirm the “quality of clean” achieved by housekeeping attendants.
- You evaluate and rate cleaning performance, report results immediately to the Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor, and ensure deficiencies are addressed.
- You report room discrepancies related to maintenance problems to the supervisor.
Job Duties
- Customer Service: Respond promptly to customer needs and special requests from guests.
- Team Work: Treat people with respect, keep commitments, uphold organizational values, and assist with preventative cleaning programs.
- Quality: Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitor own work to ensure quality; maintain cleanliness of storage room and stock carts.
- Quantity: Meet productivity standards and complete work within a timely manner and approved budget.
- Safety and Security: Observe safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and use chemicals and equipment properly.
- Key Control: Responsible for any assigned keys and for following key control policies.
- Dependability: Consistently attend work on time, meet demands of industry including holidays and weekends.
- Initiative: Volunteer readily, ask for and offer help when needed, and confirm room assignments with supervisor before leaving.
- Compliance: Report all lost and found articles, maintenance issues, “Do not Disturb” and “Refuse Services” notifications to supervisor.
Qualifications
- 21 years old or older
- Knowledge of computers
- Good command of the English language (bilingual is a plus); ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members
- Thorough knowledge of hotel services
- Professional image and personality exuding confidence and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail; ability to organize, prioritize and follow up
- Maintain confidentiality and security of guest and hotel information
- Flexibility to work hours including weekends and evenings when necessary
- Prior experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or QA Inspector is a positive
- Hands‑on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
- Excellent organizational and communication management skills
- Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred; six months of previous housekeeping experience is a plus
