Job summary

Canopius is seeking an Underwriting Assistant in Chicago to support onboarding and ongoing processing of bordereaux for programs written via sub-delegation. You will work with sub-coverholders and delegated claims administrators to ensure timely bordereaux and funds, and coordinate with WNS, CBS, and UK operations to maintain accuracy.

The role emphasizes organization, communication, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, with prior insurance exposure preferred and MS 365

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure as part of a small team and self-motivated to work independently.
• Strong communication and written/verbal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
• Prior insurance exposure is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up binder in Subscribe and coordinate onboarding with WNS.
• Review WNS Subscribe entries and assist due diligence.
• Receive risk/written bordereaux from MGAs and coordinate with UK Operations for processing in Intrali.
• Ensure timely receipt of signed bordereaux and funds from MGAs.
• Process bordereaux values into Subscribe and forward to CBS; coordinate with US Finance to remit funds.
