The next Chair will guide program development, bolster student success, support externally funded research, and strengthen partnerships with agencies, alumni, and binational communities.

Qualifications

• PhD in Social Work or closely related field required.
• MSW from CSWE-accredited program required.
• LMSW/LCSW licensure or eligibility required.
• Sustained record of scholarship, teaching, and service commensurate with tenure.
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience in academic settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Department of Social Work.
• Oversee budgeting, resource management, and administrative operations.
• Lead faculty recruitment, supervision, evaluation, and mentoring for promotion and tenure.
• Develop curriculum and program directions; coordinate field education and accreditation activities.
• Strengthen partnerships with local, national, and binational communities to advance department goals.
• Support student recruitment, retention, and degree completion; promote research and scholarship.
