Job summary

The position requires the ability to make rapid, accurate judgments in enforcement scenarios and to undergo the Tier 5 background investigation upon selection.

Qualifications

• 1 year of specialized experience or education or a combination.
• Experience detaining suspected violators and enforcing import/export laws.
• Ability to conduct interviews in a law enforcement capacity.
• Background investigation is required for placement.

Responsibilities

• Detaining suspected violators of laws and/or arresting violators using proper law enforcement methods.
• Enforcing laws and regulations related to importing, exporting, and international shipping to/from the United States.
• Using intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify threats and perform risk assessments for violations and threats to national security.
• Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity to gain information from suspected violators.
