Qualifications

• Minimum one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
• Combination of experience and education may be substituted for experience as described.
• Citizenship: U.S. Citizen.
• Residency: Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing laws and regulations related to importing, exporting, or international shipping of goods.
• Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using proper law-enforcement methods.
• Using intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and national-security threats.
• Conducting law-enforcement capacity interviews to gain information from suspected violators.
