Job summary

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring entry and mid-level CBPOs across multiple duty locations in the United States. You will enforce border, immigration, and trade laws, conduct inspections, and determine admissibility to the United States.

Base salary ranges from $41,863 to $127,464 per year, with potential overtime pay and a comprehensive benefits package including health and retirement plans. Recruitment incentives up to $15,000 per year may apply with a multi-year service contract.

Qualifications

• GS-5 requires one of the following: experience, education substitution, or a combination; a bachelor’s degree or 3 years general experience at least GS-4.
• GS-7 requires 1 year of specialized experience or equivalent combination including education substitutions; strong inspections and regulatory knowledge.
• GS-9 requires 1 year of specialized experience at next lower grade level or higher education combinations with training.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Inspecting individuals and conveyances.
• Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States; ensuring lawful travel and border security.
