Customs and Border Protection is hiring CBPOs with new recruitment and retention incentives across multiple duty locations in the United States. New CBPOs may receive up to $15,000 per year for 3- or 4-year contracts depending on location, with base GS-9 pay ranging from $63,431 to $127,464 plus locality pay.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 1 year of specialized law enforcement experience.
• Education Substitution: Master's degree or 2+ years of graduate education, or an LL.B./J.D.
• Combination of Experience and Education: Evaluated based on resume and transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods and contraband.

Education

Master's degree or 2+ years of graduate education; LL.B./J.D.
