Qualifications

• GS-5: 3 years general experience, or 1 year at GS-4, or education substitution with bachelor's degree, or a combination of experience and education.
• GS-7: 1 year of specialized experience at next lower grade level or equivalent.
• GS-9: 1 year of specialized experience at next lower grade level or equivalent; additional education options available.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Ensuring the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances; determining admissibility for entry into the United States.
• Preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods and the smuggling of contraband.
