Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPO) at multiple grade levels (GS-5/7/9). They offer competitive base pay, federal benefits, leave, and retirement plans, with potential recruitment incentives up to $15,000 per year under a multi-year contract.

Duty locations across the United States are available with career advancement opportunities. Selected candidates will perform inspections and enforce immigration, customs, and agriculture laws,

Qualifications

• GS-5: 3 years general experience, or 1 year at GS-4, or education substitution (bachelor's degree) or a combination of experience and education.
• GS-7: 1 year specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, including inspections and regulatory compliance.
• GS-9: 1 year specialized experience including detention, enforcement, risk assessments; graduate education acceptable for substitution.

Responsabilités

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture law and regulations.
• Enforcing the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods and smuggling of contraband.

Formation

Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
