Job summary
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks qualified individuals for Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) roles. The positions are full-time at GS-5, GS-7, or GS-9 with growth opportunities, located at prioritized U.S. duty locations.

Qualifications
- Requires ability to meet and deal with people and learn a body of facts.
- Bachelor’s degree or full 4-year course of study required for GS-5; various combinations allowed.
- For GS-7/9, specialized experience or higher education substitutions apply.
Responsibilities
- Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
- Evaluating admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
- Conducting inspections of persons and conveyances to detect violations.
- Detaining suspected violators and enforcing related laws and regulations.
- Participating in training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
