Job summary

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is hiring Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPOs) in multiple grades. You will enforce customs, immigration, and agricultural laws, inspect individuals and conveyances, and determine admissibility to the United States.

Base pay varies by grade with strong federal benefits and potential overtime incentives. Positions are full-time with opportunities for advancement, and training at FLETC is provided after hire.

Qualifications

• Experience meeting and dealing with people; ability to learn and apply facts (GS-5).
• Bachelor's degree or completion of a full 4-year course of study from an accredited college/university.
• Combination of experience and education may qualify for GS-5/7/9 levels.

Responsibilities

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Oversee the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances and determine admissibility.
