Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience demonstrating ability to take charge, make decisions, and learn procedures.
• Bachelor's degree or four-year course of study from an accredited college or university.
• Combination of experience and education may be considered together.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and other methods.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry; perform checks and patrols across various locations.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels, and other assets to accomplish CBP mission.
