U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking Border Patrol Agents to secure the nation’s borders and enforce federal laws. Duties include patrols, investigations, and interagency collaboration across remote and rural areas, with incentives and training opportunities.

Applicants must meet citizenship, residency, and age requirements and be willing to relocate as needed. Entry-level pay starts around $51,000 yearly, with possible training incentives of up to $20,000 depending on location

Formación

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.
• Generally under age 40 at appointment, with exceptions possible.
• Veterans' preference may apply.
• Education/experience requirements must be met.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol border areas to detect and prevent illegal entry.
• Identify, apprehend individuals violating immigration laws.
• Conduct surveillance, inspections, and examinations of people and property.
• Gather information through observation, interviewing, and records.
• Respond to border-security and immigration violations and investigate.
• Interdict drugs and contraband; operate law-enforcement equipment.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of enforcement activities.
• Coordinate with other agencies as needed.
• Relocate to duty locations based on operational needs.
