Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of general work experience showing the ability to learn regulations and gather concise information.
• A bachelor's degree or completion of a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university; OR
• A combination of general work experience AND college education submitted with your application.

Responsibilities

• Detect and question people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspect documents to determine citizenship or violations.
• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders using surveillance and night optics.
• Patrol the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets to fulfill the mission.
• Interpret tracks, marks and physical evidence of illegal entry and contraband and perform various checks.
