Job summary

Customs and Border Protection is seeking Border Patrol Agents (BPA) to protect the United States by deterring illegal entry, inspecting documents, and taking enforcement actions. Qualifications

• One year of general work experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study.
• Combination of experience and education as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws.
• Inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders.
• Interpreting tracks and evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.
• Patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways using various assets.
